'The Caregiver' brand archetype. Your pocket guide to the sweetest archetype of all, honey.

"Well, honey. I don't think you're a jackass, I think you're a jack-angel."

Misguided? Maybe. Unconditionally loving? Most definitely.

Introducing the most loving, caring and reassuring of all the brand archetypes: 'The Caregiver'. Attributes delivered in spades by one of the most lovingly biased mothers in television history, Kitty Forman from That 70s Show. She was caring, warm and reassuring; and her casa (basement) was most definitely su casa. She made it her business to bestow service to others in both her personal life and professional life, where she was employed as a nurse.

BUT, as is commonly the case for all compelling characters, her 'dark side' is revealed in later seasons, but for now, we'll focus on the face that she so desperately wanted - and succeeded in - displaying to the world around her (for a while...).

Think your brand may share attributes with Mrs Forman? Read on to find out...

~ After you: You believe that everyone should love their neighbours as they do themselves.

~ Your casa es everyone else's casa: If you can help others by opening up your doors to let the less fortunate in, you will. And you'll make them a hot cup of tea, cut them a slice of cake and lend an ear if they need to chat.

~ Your glasses often sport an ever-so-slight rose tint: You'll go out of your way to boost others' morale and lift their spirits; even if it's an over-reaction or overstatement. This matters not, because you want and need them to know that they're loved unconditionally and you'll go out of your way to let them know how and why.

~ You'll push their barrow, but you're no pushover: You'll give until there's nothing left to give, but if you're shown ingratitude, you'll seethe for now and store this thought for safekeeping later.

~ You look so familiar: Whilst your heart guides your altruistic outputs, your soul is soothed when you're recognised for your efforts. Once your back has received its fair share of pats, you're good to go again. And again...

~ You believe true connection requires more than just a strong WI-FI signal: You love facilitating meaningful connections between people in order to achieve a common goal for the greater good.

~ You know that true emotional intelligence cannot be achieved by reading books: Your enduring empathy has evolved during countless years of nurturing others. In this space, you know that practice trumps theory every single time.

~ You're able to spot vulnerabilities before most know they even exist: Your intuition is so finely-tuned, that you've already started brainstorming ways you can help, long before anyone else realises there's an issue.

Unicef, WWF, TOMs and Thankyou are all caregiver brands.
